The Solo Dance Festival reached us at the stage we like the most – a seed of an idea, without a name or any kind of branding or content. We sent out a call for entry, inviting artists from around the world to take part in the festival. With time, the suggestion chart filled up with propositions from different countries, which made us realize how huge the potential is. After much thought and deliberations with the festival’s team, we decided to place this event with other official international festivals and gave it the title: Jerusalem International Solo Dance Festival, or JISDF.
We chose a typographic language with large, wide, and bold exaggerated elements, just like the performances in the festival – strong and unforgettable.
We later designed the festival’s website, the posters which were hung all over the city, the festival’s program, and of course the on-site branding.
We launched the digital campaign about a month before the festival: a newly designed website, clever and beautiful carousel ads, emphasizing all of the festival’s ingredients (including the free wine), and opened ticket sales.
Finally, we reached the “sold out phase”, when nearly every ticket to every show was sold, allowing more than 1,000 viewers to enjoy 3 amazing nights at Jerusalem’s famous Hansen House.
